Mixed Muses continuity: Kale and Atton.

Atton doesn't celebrate Earth holidays, but he does have that particular eagerness to please that means he revels in the chance to give stuff to people.

This is why, when he saw Kale in the bar, he - without any kind of preceding explanation save 'I've got something for you! - grabbed his hand and started pulling him, with all the fervor of a very excitable puppy, up the stairs.

Atton makes an agreeable noise, pressing a few more kisses to Kale's shoulder before climbing out of bed and rummaging around for clothes.

Kale elects to stay in the nice warm bed and watch Atton. He is rather nice to look at.

When Atton is sufficiently clothed in a t-shirt and boxers, he seeks out the forgotten and now cold meal.

"It'll take a few minutes t'heat this up."

"I suppose I won't die of starvation in the mean time." Unlike Trever's cat who acts like she's going die a horrible starving death if she isn't fed right that instant.

Damn cat.

Atton grins, plucking Kale's trousers off the ground and throwing them at him.

"At least come to the table."

Making an over exaggerated groan, Kale kicked off the blankets and pulled on his pants. "You're not going to feed me in bed?" he asked as he stood up.

He padded over to the table and dropped into a seat.

"Nope."

"Bastard."

"You're a bastard."

Here Kale pauses. There are two roads this can take. He can be mature about it and change the subject. Or he can be immature about it and retort back.




"You're a bastard. Times infinity."

"You're an open brackets bastard times infinity close brackets to the power of open brackets infinity squared x twenty close brackets touch wood and no returns!"

"That doesn't even make sense," Kale points out.

"Your face doesn't make sense."

He finds a small random object and tosses it at Atton.

So there.

Atton catches it, grinning.

Kale sticks his tongue out.

"Where's the food?"

"Here," Atton says, setting a plate down in front of Kale.

"About time." He waits for Atton to sit down with his own food.

"Greedy pig."

He sniffs. "I've seen you eat."

"I am a very dainty eater," Atton says, sitting down next to him.

"Compared to what? A Nerf?"

"Hey! Nerfs are very dignified!"

"Have you herded nerfs? We had a few on the farm where I grew up. Not dignified at all."

"My family were nerfherders. Had I stayed on my homeworld into adulthood, I might've been one - I mean, tradition says that the oldest son of every family is trained as a warrior, but they didn't want me."
