Mixed Muses continuity: Kale and Atton.

Atton doesn't celebrate Earth holidays, but he does have that particular eagerness to please that means he revels in the chance to give stuff to people.

This is why, when he saw Kale in the bar, he - without any kind of preceding explanation save 'I've got something for you! - grabbed his hand and started pulling him, with all the fervor of a very excitable puppy, up the stairs.

"How am I meant to do that?"

Kale drifts a hand through Atton's hair. "If you were the master of everything, you would know that."

"I never claimed I was the master of everything," Atton replied, leaning against Kale's hand.

"Then what is the problem?" The hand drifts down to brush against his cheek. And then in a moment of silliness he tweaks Atton's nose.

"I never said there was a problem," Atton laughs.

Kale tries to come up with a response to this and failing, gives Atton a kiss.

"Cheat," Atton murmurs into the kiss. He's quite happy to kiss back, though.

"Would you prefer I stop?" Kale murmurs back, his hands moving to Atton's waist.

"No, no, please continue."

Kale continues as asked. Dinner may end up cold...

Atton doesn't care too much. He'll heat it up again if they end up wanting it.

A wise and fine idea, because it looks like dinner has been momentarily forgotten.

So, a while later, Atton is snuggling.

He does not do this often.

But then, Kale is right there, and there's a blanket, and warmth.

Kale likes snuggling. He has snuggled Atton complete with arm around him and blanket tightly tucking them in.

He feels almost good and forgotten about everything right then.

Atton will, if asked, note that snuggling is really the only option. It's not a huge bed, and he takes up a fair amount of it. Pushing Kale onto the floor would be rude.

(Which is totally his only reason.)

"We need more blankets," he remarks, eventually.

"You're the one with the Force. You get them," Kale says, without bothering to move.

It could also be noted that they don't actually have to stay in the bed.

Atton grumbles, pulling another blanket over with the Force before snuggling in closer to Kale.

"Don't grumble at me. It's your room and you can use the Force." Kale tweaks his ear. "And you know where everything is in this mess."

"It's not a mess. It's very organised."

It's a mess.

"Sure, what organization system?"

Kale knows.

"My organisation system."

"Yes, that makes perfect sense." Kale agrees cheerfully. He nuzzles Atton's ear.

"Damn straight it does."

Kale smiles and stares up at the ceiling. "You think about getting a bigger bed? It's a bit cramped."

"Pfft. It's big enough for me."
