Atton staggered upstairs, singing something which sounded suspiciously like a drinking song, one arm around Aeryn's shoulders to keep himself standing, the other clutching a bottle of Tarisian Ale. He shouldered open the door to his room, kicking it closed and giggling, slightly insanely.
"This is my room. I apologise for the mess."

Aeryn sighed.

"I'm not sure. Maybe I was tired of never doing anything? Perhaps I was insanely sick of feeling guilty.

She didn't grin this time, but it wasn't really a joke."

"Made a nice change from fighting with you though."

"We should not fight more often if that's the results of it," Atton grinned. "Though I am secretly plotting to bury you up to your chin and leave you there for seven days and seven nights." All said in a perfectly casual tone. Don't worry, he isn't really. Yet.

"I'd like to see you try." She would burn up if buried. Heat delirium was not good.

"Aren't you supposed to be regretting this and complaining about how you never meant it?"

She folded her arms again.

Atton raised an eyebrow, cocking his head slightly.
"Should I? You tell me"

Aeryn let out an exasperated breath.

"I don't know. After all if I had any inkling of your feelings I'd be an empath."

She flopped down on the bed unceremoniously and began to fasten her boots.

"Alright. Let me put it this way; do you regret what happened? I'm not going to give you a straight answer, here." Atton grins, flopping down next to her.

"Why not?"

She glared at him before getting up, slightly unbalanced and trying to find the other boot, which she had kicked out of frustration.

"Men the universe over are the same."

"I thought you liked a change from fighting?" Atton said lightly, smirking broadly. "And let's not resort to slurs against one's gender now. We don't want to get into that sort of argument. I don't want to get into any sort of argument actually."

"I did. But that didn't mean it was anything to do with you."

Her annoyance had been raised, and better men than Atton had failed to subdue her after such an event.

"Where the frell is my boot?" She yelled, balancing on one clad foot.

"I don't know. I was never very good at locating boots, my superiors would always tell me to locate boots for them and you know what? Never once did I find one. Even the ones on my own feet eluded me," Atton smirked and stood up. "Come on, it can't have gone far - they only walk at midnight, after all."

"What are you talking about?"

His fast way of speaking and changing the conversation mood was just a little annoying sometimes. It reminded her of Crichton, half the time she didn't have a clue what he was saying.

"Boots and the military," Atton explained. "And boots that may or may not be militant footwear rights protestors."

She bent over and started to rummage through the piles.

"Well are you just going to stand there, or actually help."

She had deflated a little.

Atton shrugged and rummaged through the piles with her, tossing several things aside in an attempt to find her missing boot. He was, thus far, unsuccessful.

Aeryn saw something black and lunged for it. She pulled out a shirt and sighed dramatically, tossing it at Atton.

Atton looked at the shirt for a few moments.
"How did I even get all this stuff? I only have one set of clothes!" He reached down, pulling two pairs of boxers from the pile. "This is slightly strange." He tossed them aside and continued rummaging.

Aeryn stood up straight, both hand on her hips and gave him the most disapproving expression she could muster.

"Perhaps you should tidy?"

"I like it being messy, there's no chance I'm going to tidy," He picked up a sock and scrutinised it carefully. "And I'm not tidying away clothes that aren't even mine."

Aeryn opened her mouth to give a retort, closed it and opened it again, stepping forward and eyeing him suspiciously.

"Who do they belong to then?"

"How the frack am I supposed to know? They could belong to anybody! Why they would put their clothes in my room, I don't know."

Aeryn raised an eyebrow.

"Why would someone put their clothes in your room."

She didn't know why he was getting defensive, she found the whole situation rather amusing.

What wasn't amusing, was the fact that she was unbalanced in only one shoe.

"They might be crazy," Atton suggested. "They might be senile and think this is their room. I don't know."

Aeryn threw her hands up in the air dramatically.

"I don't know how you can live in such mess."

She got down on her knees and peered suspiciously under the bed.

"I like it," Atton said simply. "It's nice. It's comfortable. It's easy to hide in."

Aeryn grunted. Undoubtedly he was just too lazy to clean it.

She lay on her belly and squirmed under the bed, reaching for the boot she could now see. Her lower half wiggled determinedly, sticking out from the bed.
