They found a nice tavern, with a tavernkeeper (strangely overly chirpy and always smiling, with just the barest hints of murderous insanity in her eyes) who agreed to let them pay later.

Paying is still a problem, though, which is why Atton's found a wide grassy area - some sort of park that also acts as a market.

As Atton and Guppy talk, Will approaches the barbarians and tries to find to out what they might be willing to pay for the fight.

"I think we have potions for that."

"Okay, but I'm relying on you two to rescue me if I'm in deep shit."

"Right, this fellow, Bloodeater wishes to take ye on, Tetra. Told 'im the rules since wish for a clean fight all round."

The barbarian looks rather stupid and hairy but grins and nods a lot.

Chirpily, to Guppy: "He eats blood." Beat. "But he won't eat yours."

Guppy puts on a brave face.

"Bring it on."

Will gets the crowd going again as Bloodeater approaches Guppy and roars before charging him.

Atton grins, heading off towards the crowd.

"Place your bets, place your bets! You'll never get this chance again, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!" He starts collecting in bets quite quickly - evidently the crowd are in the mood for some betting.

Guppy waits until Bloodeater is close, then jumps up with a somersault. As he comes down, he kicks at the back of his head.

Bloodeater rocks at the kick to the head but doesn't fall over instead he turns around and grabs Guppy to try and swing him into the ground.

Guppy throws him over his shoulder.

So Bloodeater make a confused growling nose as he hits the ground with a whump and then he scrambles up for another charge, Bloodeater is not that smart.

Guppy sidesteps at the last second, bringing out his fist.

Which knocks Bloodeater cleanly out and he falls with another thump.

"Did I win?"

From the crowd, a very deep, loud voice, like a particularly menacing announcer, booms:

"Finish hi - Oh, you, you already did that." Sheepish pause. Then, enthusiastically: "KO! Fishelf wins. Round two ..." Pause. Hopefully: "Round two?" Then, seeing that Bloodeater isn't getting up. "Aww. Kriff this, I'm going to play Dead or Unreal Street Doom Kombat."

Atton collects in the money, before wandering over to Guppy as the crowds disperse.
"Got a good haul."

"Oh aye, we did. Ye 'urt at all?"

"Not really." Grin.

Atton pats Guppy's shoulder.

"Good. We may as well go and pay for our room, then."

"Aye an can get ye somethin' to eat too now we can pay for it."

Guppy nods.

"I think I understand why you two like fighting now." he says, heading inside. "It's more fun when you win."

Chirpily: "Fighting is great. It'd be better in my own body, but here is good too."

"Oh aye, next time we do this, I want to fight."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Let's rest for now." Guppy says. "But it'll be easy enough if one of you fights, because I can heal you if it gets out of hand."
