They found a nice tavern, with a tavernkeeper (strangely overly chirpy and always smiling, with just the barest hints of murderous insanity in her eyes) who agreed to let them pay later.

Paying is still a problem, though, which is why Atton's found a wide grassy area - some sort of park that also acts as a market.

He gets a flash of a grin before Atton very dramatically curls through the air and collapses against the grass.

(Those who are particularly clever may realise that there is something wrong with this, as people do not usually move in slow motion, no matter how dramatic the moment is. Atton doubts any of the crowd are that bright, though.)

Guppy restrains a snort; clearly he is the expert in how to pass out.

He raises one hand triumphantly to the crowd, then crouches down to cast Heal on Atton.

Will comes over and grabs Guppy's hand to hold it up,

"An the winner, Fishelf! Who wants to take 'im on next?"

Atton makes a show of sitting up very dramatically, as if he'd just woken up, before getting to his feet and heading over to Will.

Whispering: "How much money did we get?"

"Good 'mount, so far will fill least one purse an will do better with the next one."

Will makes it look as if Atton is kind of leaning on him so its not too suspicious.

"We may have enough to pay the tavern keeper, then. I'll go ask Guppy if he wants t'earn more, though. Keep the crowd interested?"

Atton puts on a very overdramatic limp as he heads over to Guppy.

"Fish, good job raking in the money. We probably have enough now, but if you want to earn some more ..."

"It was Tetra!" Guppy complains at Will, then nods at Atton.

"Who should fight?"

[will_scarlett]

"Ye pay 'em, Atton. Who wants to fight the great Tetra!"

A couple of barbarian types swagger through the crowd.

"Well, they look pretty adamant about fighting you," Atton taps the air a few times. "Fighter/blackbelts. But you're good to back out if y'want to."

Guppy moves closer to Atton.

"But I'm just a n00b, who's going to heal me if I get smushed?" he hisses urgently.

As Atton and Guppy talk, Will approaches the barbarians and tries to find to out what they might be willing to pay for the fight.

"I think we have potions for that."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Okay, but I'm relying on you two to rescue me if I'm in deep shit."

"Right, this fellow, Bloodeater wishes to take ye on, Tetra. Told 'im the rules since wish for a clean fight all round."

The barbarian looks rather stupid and hairy but grins and nods a lot.

"Will do."

Chirpily, to Guppy: "He eats blood." Beat. "But he won't eat yours."

Guppy puts on a brave face.

"Bring it on."

Will gets the crowd going again as Bloodeater approaches Guppy and roars before charging him.

Atton grins, heading off towards the crowd.

"Place your bets, place your bets! You'll never get this chance again, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!" He starts collecting in bets quite quickly - evidently the crowd are in the mood for some betting.

Guppy waits until Bloodeater is close, then jumps up with a somersault. As he comes down, he kicks at the back of his head.

Bloodeater rocks at the kick to the head but doesn't fall over instead he turns around and grabs Guppy to try and swing him into the ground.

Guppy throws him over his shoulder.

So Bloodeater make a confused growling nose as he hits the ground with a whump and then he scrambles up for another charge, Bloodeater is not that smart.

Guppy sidesteps at the last second, bringing out his fist.

[will_scarlett]

Which knocks Bloodeater cleanly out and he falls with another thump.
