[OOM] Taris, the Labyrinth, Former Undercity Sewers.

It's very dark.

Not completely dark. There are a few lights, sickly greenish-white, left, to give a little bit of illumination, and they light up the flow of water in the most interesting ways. It's a circular room, clearly deep underground, with a massive hole in the centre through which water crashes down. The railings are broken in several places. There are two doors there, and around each, an array of monitors, screens and machinery, all brand new.

Guppy and Will have been laid out on two blankets, on either side of the pit, and left there, at least until they wake up.

Will wakes up and then curls back into himself to hide the trembling, its far too similar to Nottingham dungeon, he'll wake Guppy when he doesn't feel as if he's falling apart.

Guppy has dried blood on the side of his head, the result of hitting it as he fell unconscious. He's lying in an unnaturally still position, but breathing.

He doesn't wake up straight after Will, but he does eventually stir slightly.

After a while, Will pulls the blanket over Guppy, that bump on his head is worrying and he wishes he knew where Atton was.

Guppy settles into a slightly more peaceful looking sleep state for a few minutes, then starts to wake up properly.

He opens his eyes and tries to work out why he's in what looks like some sort of giant toilet...

Across the room, the monitors flash, before revealing the face of Baron Kenta, peering through at them.

"Are you awake yet?"

Will startles more than he means to at the monitor and glares at it,

"Aye, ye 'appy?!"

Guppy continues to look very confused.

He tries to sit up, but everything is still a bit fuzzy and weird.

"Oh, yes. Now, here's how it's going to play out. Your weapons have been taken, although they're close by. If you reach the exit, you can leave, no questions asked." Kenta pauses, considering a moment. "But to do that, you'll have to leave this room. You'll notice two doors - one leads to a set of stairs. One will call a lift down and take you up."

Kenta taps his fingers, a little agitatedly.

"Opening the door to the stairs will set off an alarm that will release all the fauna and flora in this section of the the Labyrinth's underground levels, and set off another trap I have placed there. However, if you use the lift ..."

The monitors flicker to show Atton, blindfolded and still asleep, chained up. His arms are chained quite high over his head, and his feet are chained to what looks like the top of the lift.

"As it comes down, it will stretch your friend and tear him apart, but you will have a relatively safe path out of the sewers. If you choose to take the lift, take the left door. If you choose to take the stairs, take the right."

The monitors flicker off.

Will puts an arm around Guppy to steady him, his hand for a moment digs into his side as he sees Atton strung up,

"We'll go right an find a way to save Atton."

Guppy nods, taking deep breaths to try and feel less dizzy and sick. He came very close to throwing up when he saw the picture of Atton, but he focuses. This is life or death, this is no time to phone in sick.

"Is there anything in here we can use as a weapon?"

"Aye, could use some o'those broken rails. Should get somethin' to drink 'fore we leave? Can ye stand?"

Guppy is relieved to find they've left him his kit bag, and the bangle on his wrist and the locket around his neck. He digs in, brings out a water bottle and passes it to Will, then sips from his own.

"I feel like I did the morning after rum." he says, shivering but hanging in there. "But I'm in control."

I saw a future, hopefully my future, and Fry was in his teens. We're going to get through this, we've got to.

"I've got some string, if we tie it to the door handle we can pull it open from a bit further away."

"Aye, do we 'ave any food in there, could 'rhaps try an lure some beasts in 'ere 'fore we try the maze?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"If we can get them through the door one at a time, it might be easier."

Guppy looks through the bag.

"Shouldn't we eat the food though?"

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, but if we can use wee bit to trap 'em, will make things simpler."

"Okay."

Guppy digs around.

"Do you think a pepperami will do?"

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye, probably will. Any string in there?"

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy nods, pulling it out and chucking it at Will. He runs a hand through his hair, stopping suddenly when he discovers there's a load of dry blood in it.

"Agh! Where did this lot come from?"

"Think ye 'it the floor pretty 'ard."

Will heads over to the railings and rips a few off as he starts to tie the pepperami so it dangles over the edge.

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy hurriedly cleans it off, in case it makes him look tasty.

"Come on, we have to rescue Atton quickly." he says, getting the string to tie to the right door handle.

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, we'll get 'im."

Will moves so that he can react to whatever comes out of the door first because he's a bit quicker.

Guppy stands back, picks up a broken rail, then opens the door.

Immediately, a blaring alarm goes off, and there's the sound of rattling and sliding metal from far away.

"Sounds like they've a ways to go 'fore we get 'ere so might be able to get some space tween us."

[guppy_sandhu]

"You think we should run out there without waiting to pick a few off in here?" Guppy asks.
