[OOM] Ilum, Jedi Enclave.

They have all of an hour to get up, shower, have breakfast and get ready before Atton is rushing off, yelling back at Will and Guppy about how they should start making tracks.

Five minutes later, they arrive in the hangar bay, and Atton starts looking around for their snowspeeders. He's a little miffed when he sees what they have instead.

Furry animals, about halfway between mammal and flightless bird, with reins and harnesses.

"I thought we were getting snowspeeders, not tauntauns," he protests.

The Jedi he's talking to shakes their head, sadly. "Snowspeeders are all broken."

"I just hope we know how t'stop them when we arrive."

Guppy opens his eyes a little wider at that, and holds tightly onto Will.

"Pullin' on the reins should 'elp, 'opefully."

"You'd be the expert." After all, horses are animals, and Atton presumes that Will's rode them before.

"Why didn't we ask when we picked them up?!" Guppy calls to Atton.

"Cause we wanted to be out o'there."

"Besides. They're so fuzzy."

Nodding with his head.

"I think that structure over there is what we're heading for."

Guppy feels his buttocks slipping off the animal, but another jolt manages to bounce him back on again.

So Will starts to pull on the reins in hopes of at least slowing the beast down.

Guppy and Will's tauntaun slows to a slightly more manageable pace.

Atton follows Will's lead, pulling on the tauntaun's reigns.

It isn't long until they're at the dig, a large structure around a pit in the ice, with three of four people clustered in one spot at the edge of the pit, shouldering heavy bags.

Guppy watches Atton's lead, glad that the tauntaun has slowed down.

So is Will, he wasn't sure if that was going to work and he pats at the tauntaun's neck as he waits to see what Atton does.

"'Cuse me," Atton calls, chirpily. "This is the archaeological dig for the Rakatan ruins, isn't it?"

"Yes," one of the Jedi replies, a little gravely. "But I'd recommend turning back now, if I were you. The visions are stronger here than at the Enclave, and there are ghosts." It's said very matter-of-factly.

Atton jabs a thumb over his shoulder, back towards the Enclave.
"Isn't the nexus more thataway than thisaway?"

The Jedi just shrugs, mounting a nearby tauntaun and riding off. After a few moments, the rest of the people there follow along.

Guppy looks around edgily in case the creepy clown thing is around.

"This is where we're meant to be, aye, Atton?"

"Aye," Atton replies, sagely, peering down the pit, and at a shaft within it. "S'quite deep."

"Remind me again what exactly we're looking for and what it looks like?" Guppy asks.

Will's just glad to climb off the beast and pats it as he ties it up,

"Oh aye, is."

"A room like the one in the laboratory at Transimir. Something with a computer that contains any records that Rakata scientist left here. Shouldn't be too difficult."

A pause, before he reaches out, wrapping one arm around Guppy, another around Will, and lifting them slightly off the ground as he jumps down.

It's not a hugely long fall, and once they land he puts them down again.

Guppy holds tight onto Atton and closes his eyes so that he doesn't have to look at the drop. Then he opens his eyes again.

"Did we just fly?"

Will grips Atton rather tightly as they go down,

"Guess that works."

"No, Guppy, we fell. It's like flying, just in the opposite direction," Atton replies, letting go of them and heading down one of the tunnels. "Be on your guards."

"But we didn't go smush." Guppy says. "Which normally happens with falling."

He gets his stun gun ready and follows Atton. He can hear something, very quietly, not quite touching his conscious thought yet.

But if he paid attention, it would sound like the beat of drums.

"I like not going smush." he adds.

"Oh aye, an can get up the same way?"

There's the sense of age and someone watching so Will keeps looking around, trying to figure out who's there.

"Yeah. I can just grab you and jump," Atton replies.
