[Prethreading OOM] Kate and Atton, Koor.

Koor is bright, colourful and loud, for the most part, and vibrant with life.

The door leads out into a large city square, lined with stalls, with a group of masked actors in the centre playing out some form of very overdramatic musical tragedy.

Atton turns to Kate. "So. Stuff t'buy, stuff t'eat, fortune-telling, fights for money, dancing, street theatre, and as I find more stuff in the city this list keeps on growing and growing so I won't bore you with the rest." Brightly. "Any ideas on what y'want t'do?"

The third card is turned over.

Kate blinked, "Ok, that one doesn't make any sense. So am I gaining or am I losing?"

"Losing, but then gaining. Maybe in time it'll make sense to you."

"Maybe. No wonder you prefer getting money up front." Wry look back.

"Business is business." Brightly. "Thank you for your custom. I'll be here throughout the festival if you have need of my services again."

"All right, thank you."

She got up, and headed back out to meet up with Atton again.

"Ready for the shopping part. Thinking of checking out the fights too." She was definitely going to donate any won money though.

"They have sword fights, I think, which I hear you're good at. Fist fights. An archery contest, too." Atton says. "What're you thinking of buying for Will, then?"

"Sword fights yes... wait... did you say archery contests?" GRIIIIINN

"And not sure, but I'll know it when I see it." Welcome to how girls shop. This might take a while.

"Please see it quickly, otherwise we'll be here forever."

Kate gave him a look, "Fine, maybe I'll wait till I'm here with Will. Won't be a surprise then."

She's definitely not of the "that's fine, let's go" school of shopping.

"But, but, but fine. C'mon, let's go search."

"I'll be as quick as I can, ok?"

She then followed him back to vendor stalls.

Atton makes vague grumbling noises in response.

"So glad to have your approval,' she gently teased him.

She wandered over to one stall to see what was there.

Carved, wooden animals, each small enough to fit in the palm of somebody's hand, with silver detailing.

"S'nice."

"Oh these are pretty."

Now she's going to look and see if there's anything that remotely resembles a fox.

"He might like one of these, especially if I can find one that looks close to a fox. Or whatever the equivalent would be."

"Well, there's a Kazic Wolf here. Sort of similar," gesturing to a large, vicious looking canine with what looks like a prehensile, spiked tail. "... Should be a Koori Saber-Toothed Fox somewhere, that'd be even closer."

"Hmmm... I somehow have trouble picturing Will with a tail like that. Let's see the Saber-Toothed one if they have it." She poked around the figures some more, searching.

"I think he already has a little silver head of one on a chain. Clan symbol, gave it t'him for that Earth winter holiday when you all give people presents." Atton doesn't really care that much about Christmas itself, he just likes giving people stuff.

He plucks a figurine off the table, holding it out - It looks mostly like a normal Earth fox, except it has longer tusks extending down from its mouth.

"Yes you did, I've seen it in his room. Didn't know this was the rest of the animal."

Kate carefully took the figure from him, and smiled, "Cute, I think that'll work. See, not that painful after all."

She fished out some credits to pay the vendor.

"Most vicious animal on my homeworld. The only animal that habitually and successfully kills and eats not only animals several times its size but also members of its own species." Atton remarks, amicably.

As she pays, Atton slinks back a little to quietly thank the Force that the shopping didn't take too long.

"Sounds like some of the threats back home." After she completed her purchase, she then asked, "So where's the archery contest?"

"That way, I think." Pointing.

Purchase went into her tote, and she jogged over toward the place Atton pointed to with a grin. She can be as bad as Will when she's enthusiastic about something.
