Atton knows, without looking, that the door isn't far now. He's quite grateful for that.

He just blinks at the question, can see the door that's all that matters and gives a nod.

Doesn't quite trust himself to speak at the moment and gives Atton's should a small squeeze since its all he can do for now.

Medusa does not, particularly, like this room. She pulls herself free from Sam, and hurries forward. Doors in this place are opened by pressing the large button in the wall, yes?

Sam's hand winds in Atton's hair, nudging him forwards.

"Come on. Time to get out."

He doesn't look back, but the remains of the cage make a very satisfying bang! as they explode.

From:

"Yeah. Thanks f'opening the door, Meddie." Atton smiles, weakly, as they head through the door. It shuts behind them automatically.

This room is much brighter and chirpier, filled with medical equipment. Possibly an infirmary of sorts. There are also chains attached to the beds, though, so it's not a very nice infirmary.

"Okay, the prisoners should be through that door." Atton says, gesturing. Now that they're out of the cage-y room, he seems to have calmed down a bit.

Will's just going to keep moving, he's got his sword and so won't rub his wrist, though the chains cause him to shiver a good bit.

"Chains, locks...?"

Sam is not so much with looking at this room, now. Hi, interesting experiences in similar rooms.

"And moving on?" he suggests, voice slightly harsher than usual.

Atton's arm tightens a little around Sam's shoulders, and Atton gives him a little, sympathetic nudge with his head.

"The door is probably locked, and they're probably kept behind containment fields. Should be fairly simple to free them."

Will just keeps moving, his sword drawn, gaze straight ahead, no need for them to see his weakness.

From:

"So, if I touch the button..." Which she does. Locked? But there is no...

Atton's world is confusing.

From:

"Would electrocuting the cell doors work?" Sam asks Atton shortly, jaw tight.

From:

"Not really. A repulsor-pulsey-thing, like something you'd get from a repulsorlift or a specially modified mechanical arm would." Atton says. "To be honest, I'm just hoping that they have a console to let down the fields. As for this door ..." He frowns at it.

After a moment's thought, he pulls away from Sam and Will, giving them both brief pats on the shoulders and wanders over to the console. The casing is pulled away, and Atton spends several moments fiddling with the wires until the door opens, then closes, then opens again, then closes, and so on.

Atton seems to know what he's doing at least, so Will's just going to do what he learned to do growing up, fade into the background till there's need of him if there ever will be.

Sam glances at her with a small grin, despite the fact that he doesn't look very happy. "Milliways is infectious."

He looks over at Will. "So, how'd you get roped into this little picnic?"

Distractions are good, and it looks like Will could use one just as much as Sam could, right now.

It takes Will a moment to realize Sam is speaking to him,

"Atton's good as my brother, told 'im I was comin'."

"It sounds fair more noble than my wanting to blow people up."

"I told him I'd kill him if he went off and died without me." Sam sounds very cheerful about this.

"Yeah, none of you were roped into this, you all demanded to come. I got threats of violence, death, being never spoken to again ... Everyone is so mean to me." Atton pouts. "Will, come over here and try to stop this door from closing? Every time it closes it resets, 's makes it difficult for me t'do this stuff."

Sam and Meda are both too dwarfy and frail, Atton feels.

"Oh aye, sure."

Will sheathes his sword and looks at the door then grabs a random metal thing off the ground and when the door next opens puts it in.

"Will it stay?" She asks, eying the door and it's block warily. Wings. She doesn't want them to get trapped.

From:

"Cheat," Sam informs Will, laughing a little. "Hey, we ought to spar at some point. You looked as though you knew what you were doing with that sword, earlier."

"He can," Atton says. "Good sparring partner. 'Cept the hair blinds me so that I can't attack. 'S terrible, really."

Atton flicks a few switches.
"Okay, keep that thing there. Shouldn't be too long and then I'll have the doors open and staying open."
