Screaming like a stuck mynock.

Will comes through next, he's got a blaster pistol in one hand and his sword in the other and shivers slightly, a dangerous light in his eyes,

"Aye, Atton."

Next through," comes Medusa's low, rich voice. Her head is bowed and she watches their feet (and thinks - feet, feet, boots, boots, not them). She herself is bare foot, wearing nothing but a boy's chiton and a bangle around a wrist, an ankle. She has a dagger through her belt, yes, and an Egyptian sword (both bronze), but compared to Atton she seems almost defenselss. The scars on her cheeks, still healing from nails and claws, don't help with this.

But it's only almost. Wings, after all. Wings and her twisting snakes and her still-sheathed claws.

The mortal weapons are just to start, maybe just to fall back on, and even though her head is bowed her dark eyes are bright.

"Here," and Sam's voice is quiet but light; if you're not looking at his eyes, he almost seems cheerful.

He's empty-handed, seemingly the least-armed of all, but there's a sword slung crosswise over his back and a dagger in his sleeve.

And the... creatures they're going to encounter will wish that was the worst of it.

"Right, good. Let's go - Hopefully we'll find a map on the way." Atton says, heading for the door quickly, opening it and moving out into the wide corridor.

He peers left. Then right. Then, as the door closes, a rather loud, blaring alarm goes off and a lot of soldiers in reflective black armour start heading towards them.

Atton is evidently rather pleased by this, hence the grin.

Will's grin also is sharp and fun as the blaster goes into his right hand and he moves beside Atton,

"I'll take the right."

Then fires at the first three soldiers.

Medusa glances at Sam.

"Would the boys be horribly disappointed if I looked at the soldiers," she asks him, thoughtfully.

From:

"Possibly if you looked at all of them?" Sam suggests, outstretched arm hurling chain lightning to seek out the weak spots in the soldiers' armour.

"You have to give the rest of us a chance, after all. Or we'll pout."

"Yeah. Big meanie." Atton calls over, unclipping the hooks holding the vibrodisks. They rise into the air, spinning and whirring, before they fly about to decapitate various soldiers.

Atton, stuffing his hands in his pockets and controlling them without gestures (except, occasionally, eye movements if his telekinetic grip on one falters) looks immensely pleased with all the blood and gore.

Will's blaster shots are quite effective though he'd prefer his sword, much more satisfying but there'll be time for close work later.

Her eyes closed, Medusa turns her head to face Atton.

"I'm very nice," she murmurs. While the other three get to work, Medusa backs away from them. Back, back, back...that should be enough.

The little Gorgon pushes her braids and snakes over her shoulders, crouches down, and then jumps straight up into the air. As she does so, she beats her wings hard. It's loud, naturally. Gold and wings and, really, the only truly quiet birds are owls.

It's an interesting view-that-isn't, from up here. Her snakes twist as she hovers, and she can feel everyone. Heat, heat from the blasters, heat from the blood pumping around those living and the cooling from those dead that is already starting. But she can't hover for long here - there isn't a breeze - so she swoops forward.

And as she does so, she opens her eyes and the soldiers she looks at turn to marble.

"...I'm impressed!" Sam calls after her, bringing his other hand up to unleash streams of fire and lightning all at once, as winds pick up and hurl the marble soldiers into those still living.

"But leave some for us, Beautiful. Or it's not fair."

The soldiers are starting to think that this may have been a bad idea.

Atton hasn't removed his hands from his pockets yet. When a soldier gets too close, he's promptly kicked into a wall.

When Will gets close enough he switches hands and his sword cuts through the weak points of their armor and he just grins, blood and blood red hair.

From:

She doesn't say as you wish, but her snakes do in a whispering, laughing chorus that no one here can understand. But, his point is taken and she wants to rip. She wants screams and blood to make her feel alive.

So she draws back her beautiful gold wings, and dives into the fray. She's only a light thing, as Sam can attest, but the force of her dive is enough to spill people to the ground.

Sam laughs, a strange sharp laugh, wading into the soldiers with his blade drawn singing from his shoulders, shifting through the crowds until he's at Medusa's side; not to protect, but just for the sheer hell of it.

Atton laughs at the too, shaking his head slightly as he wanders into the midst of the crowd, removing one hand from a pocket in order to draw his own sword and start cleaving his way through various soldiers.

Needless to say, there are not too many left at this point. Between the four of them, the rather large crowd has sort of dwindled to more of a medium sized mob.

Will's having quite a good time since soldiers who held his friend captive deserve no mercy and soon he's standing surrounded by corpses and grinning and the slightly mad light hasn't left his eyes.

From:

Normally, Medusa doesn't bother with a sword. Her claws are good enough and, besides, the things get heavy. But she has been practicing on her father's island, practicing against her brothers and sisters with swords and daggers with her eyes down and just using the new senses flooding her mind.

Her bronze sword is heavy, slightly curved, and it's useful for getting into the cracks - sweep down and hack and there is little beauty in the movements. But, then again, Medusa has never claimed that she is particularly civilized.

And if sometimes she slips and looks up, well. It doesn't hurt.

(She's gaining scratches from the fight, blood starting to run down her limbs, and she doesn't notice.)

Sam has the sword in one hand only, leaving his other hand free to wield magic in a deadly chain, threads of lightning and fire to worm their ways into the cracks in the armour at the joints and neck.

"Having fun?"

"I sure am." Atton chimes in (though he realises that Sam wasn't talking to him) as his hacking and slashing brings him to where Sam and Medusa are. "Isn't everyone? Including the soldiers. Especially the soldiers."

"Oh aye, tis grand fun. Thanks, Atton."

Will's farther along the side but soon enough he joins the others.

One of the soldiers grabs Medusa's arm and twist it while another tries to come up behind. She glares at the first, but doesn't quite have enough room to spin around and do the same for the second.

Wings.

Sam's sword comes down on the second's outstretched arm like a blur, removing it neatly; his other hand sweeps up, hurling him into the nearest wall.
