[OOM] Atton, Sam, Will and Meda, Kazic III fortress-thingymajig.

The door opens into a large room, mostly filled with boxes - Though there are also a few chains hanging from the wall, so evidently it isn't just used for storage. It also appears to be almost entirely empty, and very charred.

Atton, for his part, is armed to the teeth - Sword, knives, three vibrodisks, a lightsaber, two blaster pistols and a blaster rifle. He also has a scarf - This is not, most likely, a weapon.

"Okay, everyone through."

"No doubt. They'll be sending more soldiers soon. Or other stuff."

There's a loud crash from nearby.

"Like so."

The shinies get puts in Will's pouch as he draws his sword again,

"Well, aye, then best be killin' 'em then."

"Note to self: when next fighting in another world's fortress, bring a bow and arrow," Medusa comments drily from above them. She swoops down nearly to the floor, scanning the doors to see which is opening, and then circles up again.

"I'll get you one for your birthday, or something," Sam promises her, eyes on the doors.

"On the bright side," Atton says, bringing up a three dimensional display. "There's a door in this corridor that will take us from where we are now - The Esk-Block to be specific - to the Trill-Block, where we need to go. This block has loads of execution units hidden in the walls, and the Trill-Block has a system that allows a torture field to be put in place in any spot, so you can guess what those letters stand for."

Beat. None of the doors seem to be opening yet.

"I may not be looking forward t'getting to that block." Thoughtfully. "But never mind."

As Will listens, the fire in his returns and gets a bit brighter as he says,

"Ye're na alone now, Atton, an we'll make sure they die 'orribly for all they did to ye."

"If I may put forward an idea that will cause all of you to pout, but which is fairly sensible?" Medusa says from where she is inspecting a door.

"Let me statue them. Save your weapons for things such as that. But the grunts? You are wasting your resources."

"But it'll be fun wasting!" Sam chirps, a hand on Atton's shoulder and squeezing.

"Yeah. And 's not as if our resources are going to run out any time soon, anyway." Atton says.

Nearby, there's the rather loud sound of lots of voices howling and screeching. Atton almost facepalms.

Will just draws his sword again and grins,

"Anyway, tis rather fun."

"Boys!"

But she sounds more amused than exasperated.

"You know you love us really, Meda," Sam grins at her.

"Mostly me, admittedly."

Atton snorts.
"Dorks." Slapping Sam on the back.

Several of the door opens. The range of creatures that come through are interesting, to say the least. They are all at least partially humans, but usually only partially. They are clearly not natural, looking more like they were cobbled together from a variety of different, but usually unpleasant looking creatures, and come in a range from slimey to metallic to exceedingly fluffy.

A lot of them have sharp things.

Atton didn't miss the mutants from Frago IX. Did Sam?

They make Will think of the Brood and his grin gets a little crazier,

"Any ones ye want, Atton or just 'ave at?"

They look...not natural. In the creatures of Medusa's world, there is a flow. Wings to scales to skin. These creatures are...not like that.

But it's easier to statue them than the soldiers - no armour.

She also doesn't comment on Sam's comment. Nope, not at all.

"Oh look, the Muppet Show is back on," Sam chirps, eyes bright with danger. "Because it's not as though we killed enough of them last time, clearly."

"To be fair, they had several billion, we probably didn't make much of a dent." Atton says, pulling out his lightsaber.

"Aye, then should get to reducin' some more."

Will's been letting Atton take the lead since he knows his place, but these things are making Will itch to see their blood.

Medusa grins, bright and fierce, and then dives towards them. Sword, claws, swoop in, cut and slash and look to turn them to stone and swoop up out of reach.

"I say we try harder this time," Sam suggests; he's favouring magic again this time, and unleashes huge strands of coldfire and chain lightning from his hands.

"If things are worth killing, they're worth killing well. As my mother never used to say."

The mutants are apparently not content with just the floor. Some fly, others crawl along the walls or roof. They cover every surface.

Atton is quite happy to jump into the crowd. A moment later, mutants start flying in pretty much every direction.

Will just moves into them with his sword as they surround him, they don't fall as easily as the soldiers so he gets a cut or two.

Though they fall more as he slashes and cuts in a deadly dance amongst them.

It has been a while since Medusa has fought anything in mid-air, and now Medusa is starting to laugh. She has a very nice laugh, normally, but now it's something not quite human. It's a little too high, a little too clear, too much like a flute than a proper laugh.

Sam's happy to stand back, this once, directing his lightning to where the clumps of mutants are thickest. The mutants reek, and it's all very 'done it, bought the t-shirt, etcetera'-ish.

Atton wrinkles his nose, slightly.

"D'you not have a less smelly way of disposing of them, Midget?"
