"Okay," Atton says, holding the door open for Kale. "We're going to have to stay with my brother until I find us a place of our own. Shouldn't be more than a few days."

The door leads out onto a rectangular white room with a dozen tiers, and large windows looking out on a dark green landscape with a glowing purple sky.

There aren't any people around, currently. It's practically a ghost outpost.

"Now?" And his hand drifts down Atton's stomach. "Or later?"

Later, Atton is pulling on his jeans.

"So. Sith experiment?"

Kale has reclaimed Atton's shirt for his own usage and sprawls lazily on the couch. "You know of Revan, don't you?"

"Yeah."

"Well, where I'm from he and Bastilla, his master? Keeper? had a child. And Revan, being Revan well lacking abilities and strength in the Force he's not. His descendants, somewhere down the line maybe four or five, caught the eye of a Sith."

"Go on."

"The Sith, who ever they were, decided that they were going to use the decedents as a breeding experiment. To see if they could breed a family a line maybe even a race, that had a high rate of Force Sensitivity in it." He tugged at his red hair. "To make it easier to keep track of us, as it were, red hair was made dominant in the line.

"Apparently, from the records I've read, Delvars have a tendency towards 'soft' Force powers. Not the flashy ones like telekinesis and Force grip, but foresight and communing with animals. Things like that. "

He lifted himself up on an elbow. "Also there is some sort of ... thing in us that can be triggered. I don't know what it is or how to trigger it, but it's in the DNA."

Pause.

Amusedly: "You're descended from my old master. Now that's an interesting twist of coincidence."

Kale's been around Attong long enough to know that he wouldn't care about the Secret Sith Thingy in his DNA, though he is still relieved that there isn't any sort of revulsion in it.

"Yes, especially since you're probably going to be doing some teaching to me."

"Huh. That could even be called ironic."

"Could be!" He rolls off the couch. "Does your brother have food around here?"

"Sure thing, gorgeous. There's a kitchen somewhere around here, take what you like."

"Do you want anything, sweetheart?" He decides to go barefoot.

"I'm 'sweetheart' now?" Atton asks amusedly.

"What would you prefer?"

"Hey, whatever you want to call me is fine by me."

Kale thinks about this deeply for a moment. Then he grins mischievously. "Okay Noodles."

With that he skips off to the kitchen.

"Noodles?" Atton asks incredulously.

"You said I could call you what I wanted!" Kale calls from outside the room.

"You're a terrible person!" Atton calls back.

"Yes! Yes I am! So, NOODLES do you want anything?"

Kale gives an 'all right'. In a few minutes he returns with a pair of sandwiches and a beer. "Kitchen needs stocking."
