"Okay," Atton says, holding the door open for Kale. "We're going to have to stay with my brother until I find us a place of our own. Shouldn't be more than a few days."

The door leads out onto a rectangular white room with a dozen tiers, and large windows looking out on a dark green landscape with a glowing purple sky.

There aren't any people around, currently. It's practically a ghost outpost.

Kale elbows him. "They were inspecting everything. Looking for Force users and bad beans."

"See, now, I'd just inspect the farmboys. In detail, because there's no point being an inspector if you're not going to be thorough."

Atton is still very innocent.

Innocent is returned with innocence. "If we little farm boys stayed around to be inspected we'd be sent off to the Empire to be turned into whatever it is the Emperor does to young handsome Force users."

"Which is why we hid from the inspectors."

"I liked living, personally." He reaches up to play with Atton's hair.

Atton leans down to give Kale slightly easier access, grinning.

"I'm fond of you living too."

The hair is fondled.

"Where are we staying then, in this desolate place belonging to your brother? It's not the basement is it?"

"He has pretty nice quarters, there's a spare room there. So yeah, we'll stay in his spare room while I arrange for us to get quarters of our own."

Kale approves of this. "Good. I've had enough of basements."

"What, been living in a lot of basements of late?"

"I spent two years living in Revan's basement."

"What, he didn't let you sleep in his room?"

Kale shudders at the thought of it. "... I wouldn't even if he paid me."

Atton arches an eyebrow.

"Okay then."

"Let's talk about something else," he says.

"But, but I'm curious."

"Please." He says this flatly. It's clearly something he Really Doesn't Want to Talk About.

"Fiiine."

"Thank you." He gives Atton a quick peck on the cheek.

"S'no problem."

Beat.

"Y'know, you can do better than just a peck to reward me. I'm just saying."

There's a bit of flash from the Force Bond of a really large antagonism between Kale and Revan (including parts with Kale laughing at Revan hysterically for wearing a collar and several fights.

Not that Kale notices this.

"Is your brother going to walk in any tie soon?"

Atton pretends he doesn't notice. He also wonders why Revan had a collar. His Revan never had a collar.

But then, his Revan was a midget.

"I can lock doors with my minds," Atton says solemnly.
