Mixed Muses continuity: Kale and Atton.

Atton doesn't celebrate Earth holidays, but he does have that particular eagerness to please that means he revels in the chance to give stuff to people.

This is why, when he saw Kale in the bar, he - without any kind of preceding explanation save 'I've got something for you! - grabbed his hand and started pulling him, with all the fervor of a very excitable puppy, up the stairs.

"I suppressed my own Force powers," Atton shrugs. "Unconsciously, but still willingly. They started coming back pretty quickly - I'm too powerful for anything short of being completely cut off to keep them down for long - but still. It was the best thing."

He tilts his head backwards.

"I'd help you. If you really wanted to take the risk of going crazy again."

"I think I was too... I don't know. We're strong in the Force... my family."

He wiggled his fingers a little. "Crazy if I don't, crazy if I do. I know that if I remember to wear my gloves and not go around touching things it's easier to keep under control. I also know this is just gnawing inside of me in a worse crazy."

Kale then tapped the side of his head. "I think I'd have better luck controlling the voices in my head if I could touch the Force."

"Well, I could bond with you. You'd share my connection - your own would start healing up too, and once it'd healed, we could slowly break the bond."

Shrug. "But I don't know what'd happen there. With the Exile, my free will started to be drained. With Revan and Bastila, they started sharing dreams, pain, et cetera. With the Exile and Kreia, they could talk telepathically, they shared pain, and they could share knowledge. I knew two Jedi here, Zekk and Jaina, who started talking in the plural and constantly felt the urge to kriff. It's a lottery as far as what the side effects could be."

"Trever and I had a bond -it broke- but we had one." He looks wistful. "It was nice." Someone has been very lonely. "But I've handled a bond like that before and was able to keep my sense of self."

"My sense of self isn't quite up to scratch." Pause. Smirk. "You may need t'be gentle with me."

He smirks back. "I thought you didn't like it gentle?"

"Well I don't mind it."

Kale sniggers. He can't help it. "I'll try not to overwhelm you with my sheer force of personality."

Atton grins.

"That's all I ask," he replies, leaning in to kiss Kale thoroughly.

The kiss is returned, the plates being moved out of the way with an elbow.

"Careful," Atton murmurs against Kale's lips. "If you break those, you're paying for them."

"I'll make you pay half," Kale murmur's back.

"Why?" Reproachfully. "That'd be mean."

"Because you enabled me."

"You enabled me."

"Only because you enabled me."

"Lies. I think the best way to make up for lying so much is t'take your clothes off," Atton says seriously. "It's symbolic."

Kale glances down at himself and the fact that he's not really wearing much in the first place, just his pants. "That's a bit unfair."

"A bit." Pause. "Seriously, though. If we're going to do this, we should set up this Force bond now. Before we get distracted."

"Even more distracted?" Kale grins but then gets serious again. "Yeah. Sure. I guess it's you, isn't it?"

"Okay. This might be a little weird," Atton says, and touches Kale's forehead.

There's a chime, and then the abrupt presence of another mind - made all the more unnerving by the fact that Atton's mind is very tangibly not human. There are a variety of reasons for this: He's Kazic, and Kazic are only Near-Human, refined by evolution to be hunters and survivalists. He's exceptionally, ridiculously powerful, and you don't get to be such a strong focus point for the Force without drifting away from your humanity. And his experiences and training have altered his mindscape in ways it should not have been altered.

The result is that he feels more like an overly intelligent predatory animal than a regular human.

"For you too..." Kale murmurs.

Kale's mind, on the other hand is a disorganization of more than several people. He was never strong in the Force; Delvars tend for quantity and not power. There's a whole bunch of them, but only a few who could make it to Jedi Master level. In his mind, there are very forceful personalities. Revan is one, and a strong one. It probably is because he's the ancestor of the Devlar line that he stays so strong. Luke Skywalker, the Exile, Trever, and just bits and pieces of floatsum and jestum personalities.

Some how there is a sense of 'Kaleness" but it's loosely threaded between everything.

Atton chuckles. "This is going to be a weird bond, with the two of us."

"Least we shouldn't be able to screw each other up any more?"

Low, amused: "Hey, most of this is natural for me. I mean, being messed up didn't help, but still." Pause. "This'll only take a moment."

It does, indeed, only take a moment. It's remarkably quick and easy to form a bond.
