Jaq is sat upon a clifftop, staring outwards into the distance.

There was someone in the trees earlier, watching from afar, but he's gone now. Jaq doesn't suspect he'll come back soon.

Teja casually slices another approaching monster in two, then turns to listen to the conversation of his friends.

"Yeah, hoping this is alternate universe. Had enough messing with time already back home."

Kate continued to hack at another one, "Any ideas where they're from?"

"Well, that's fascinating, Guppy, and mentioned at a completely appropriate time."

"Sorry, I thought it might be important." Guppy says, scowling and charging towards the next monster.

He makes a mental note to go on some sort of training course in how to handle difficult space-time situations.

Teja hacks at the next monster, slicing it into two parts -- at least for the time being.

"Guys, ugly killing monsters? Let's focus on fighting just them," Kate called to them before slicing a tentacle off.

Atton pauses for a moment, then blurs through several of them, sheathing his sword as he stops on the other side. Several of them fall apart, but they quickly start to just grow out into new monsters.

"If they just keep growing appendages, we're not going to get anywhere."

"I was trying to get them to exsanguinate."

"If I had a flame-thrower, one might incinerate them," Teja says, "or with explosives, blow them apart and burn them, at the same time."

"Ok so cauterizing isn't enough, bleeding's not doing it. They got to have a weakness. Shame it's not ice, there's plenty around here."
