Mirror plot II.

When the morning comes, Atton's gone, but there are two rather ragged and thin looking pirates poking Will with their feet.

"Get up," one says (he's very shrill). "You're to report to the quartermaster, down on deck four."

"Big ugly 'airy thing."

One of them grins, a little.

"Are you actually looking for a fight?"

"Nay, I'm eatin'."

A slightly confused pause.

"After you're done eating?" One of them ventures, a little uncertainly.

"'rhaps, ye really wish to get beaten that much?"

"Well, we were actually hoping to beat you."

A pause. One of them pipes up, hopefully: "I mean, there are three of us."

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, but I'm probably faster."

"We're fast! Very fast."

[will_scarlett]

"Course ye are, 'rhaps after I finish eatin'."

[stuck-mynock.livejournal.com]

This is not what the pirates were expecting. They're a little unnerved.

"We could just attack you before you finish eating," one suggests.

"Aye, ye could but I'm eatin' with a knife so I'd just stab ye with it."

Will holds up his knife from Robin to show them.

"That's true. Stabbing is bad. I read it," one pirate says, "in a manual."

"Sure ye did, now if ye're goin' to stand 'bout, go get me some dessert."

The pirates seem genuinely indecisive over whether they should do this or not.

Will just shrugs and stands up and grabs something that looks tasty which he then sits down to eat.

"You know, you could try feeling a little threatened, man."

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, but I dinna feel like it."

"If we break both your legs, will you feel more threatened then?"

[will_scarlett]

"Ye can try."

Will stands up and puts his plates away.

"That's not an answer."

[will_scarlett]

"Dinna feel like given ye one."

[stuck-mynock.livejournal.com]

"Really? That's kinda rude."

[will_scarlett]

"Ye're the ones who want to fight me, why should I be polite to ye?"

"Because," one says.

"Maybe we should go," another one says. "You're clearly not taking this seriously."

"Aye."

Will grabs another good dessert thing and then heads out of the mess hall.
