[OOM] Onderon.

Koren stares out at the distant sea of rubble around Onderon, and amongst it the swarms of tiny lights moving towards his fleet.

“My lord,” a voice drifts over from one side, “our weapons are ready. We can destroy the rubble and move through towards Onderon.”

“No.” Koren flicks one hand up, drawing up a closer display of the objects moving through the rubble. The red and whites of Republic fighters are mixed in with the blues and golds of the Onderon guard and the silvers of the Basilisk war droids. “To do so might push the rubble towards the planet and the moon. I want the palace and the tomb to be structurally unharmed.”

Out of the corner of his eye, he sees his advisor bow low.

“This is only a minor inconvenience,” he continues. “The remains of a shattered fleet are not going to stop us. Dispatch fighters and dropships.”

There are thousands of fighters, flooding out of the Wyrm. We’re outnumbered ten to one. We’re making a dent in their numbers, but there are too many for us to keep them all out. The dropships are - ...”

A dropship crashes down into the city square, hatches opening to admit a stream of armoured soldiers, guns raised and firing as the nearby turrets swung towards them. With a shriek, one soldier falls, armour falling apart around him.

Behind them, the dropship clanks, casting off its outer shell to reveal a crab-like war machine beneath. It growls mechanically, legs sliding out as it lifts itself up and started walking, guns sliding out. With a hum and a crash, the main gun fires, lighting up the city as it blows through a building, sending turrets flying and crackling.

The march continues on towards the Sky Ramp, blocked by a row of shiny, silver droids. As they turn and started firing, the soldiers hurry away, ducking behind buildings as the war machine points its main gun at them with a long hum.

As the droids go flying and clattering, another dropship hist the city, and a third.

Atton taps his earpiece again.
“They’ve breached the Sky Ramp,” to Will and Guppy. “Be ready.”

Will spots what Guppy's doing and starts aiming at the things that look like they might control the crab.

They go flying off, and the crab lets out a long series of tinny sound melodies, before it starts cavorting about, knocking soldiers here and there.

"Guppy, get back here before you get frolicked on," Atton calls.

Guppy runs back towards them. He thinks he may have bruised his coccix. He gets back under cover and starts shooting at things again.

"Bloody 'ell, thought that'd work better."

"It looks like it worked fairly well," Atton says, as several Sith soldiers go flying.

Guppy grabs a large rock and hurls it at the crab thing with no legs.

"Idea was to stop it least its crushin' 'em."

So Will keeps firing at the soldiers and hits the crab thing every once in a while.

The legless-crab makes a long, whining sound as the rock bounces off it, smashing a light as it goes and making several other lights go off as it loses power.

Guppy gets a hair-ruffle.

The soldiers finish placing explosives around it, backing off as it explodes, sending chunks of metal flying into the still-belegged-crab.

"Heh, can't believe the rock worked."

"Doesna 'ave to be fancy to work."

Nearby, the other crab explodes, as another crab comes into view, firing at it.

This one is much larger than the other two, with more legs and more guns.

"Huh. Nice."

"... where do we aim?"

"Think we find a better place to 'ide first."

"I'm with Will on this. It's very big."

Guppy looks around for suitable cover.

Something the crab fires explodes very close to him, knocking him back with a small squeal but leaving him unhurt.

Will grabs Guppy and starts to head back towards the building.

Atton nods at the building Will and Guppy are heading towards. It's a sentry tower, thin but relatively tall.

"Get to the top of that."

Guppy is too busy running to ask 'But what if it collapses?'

But he's thinking it.

He keeps up with Will.

"Keep runnin'."

Will moves as fast as he can.

Once they're at the top, the crab turns its main gun onto the tower. Atton tosses his sword up into the air, grabs Will and Guppy around the waist, and jumps, flying through the air to land on the crab, just as it shoots the tower down.

He lets go of them, catching the sword as it comes down again.

"Find a vulnerable part and start damaging it."

"Ugh!" Guppy comments as he's grabbed around the stomach. He wasn't expecting that.

He adapts as quickly as possibly, finds a join in two pieces of crab exoskeleton, and thrusts his sword into it.

The flying part is kind of crazy but Will just starts hacking at various lights.

"Just as a note, I can only jump so far without, you know, breaking my legs, so jumping down may be a problem."

"Can you use the Force to float us down?" Guppy asks, wiggling his sword around inside the hole he's made in the machine.

"It's keyhole surgery for you, crabby boy." he mutters at it.

"'rhaps could find a way to just climb down the beast when it stops."
