When Atton opens his eyes, he hasn't got his sword, and he's wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a billowing coat, and a whole lot of black.

Thoughtfully: "Huh."

They're in a garden of some sort, filled with statues, fountains, and plants, with a forest and a massive city in the distance. A lot of people are milling around, all in dress from a variety of different time periods.

Atton thinks about this, a moment.

"Huh."

"Somethin' natural, I think but that doesna look right."

"Arctic thing." Guppy says.

Atton looks at Guppy.

Looks at the desert, and the sand.

Looks back at Guppy.


Meanwhile, the pinks, greens and blues advance forward like a wave until they reach the Garden, engulfing it before continuing onwards. They stop a fair distance from the forest, fading away.

The parts of the desert they passed over are no longer golden-yellow with a blue sky, but now an array of too-bright colours with a completely black sky, without stars or a sun. There are curls of crystal, glittering with glowing numbers, arcing out of the sand.

Off in the distance, the Garden, now strangely twisted is glowing, as numbers flow up from it and into the sky.

Atton throwns, heading out into a still-normal part of the desert and picking up some sand, turning it about in his hands before letting it flow through his fingers.

"Weird."

He looks back at the strange-coloured desert areas. Occasionally, a bright green net flickers around them.

"That doesna look right in loads o'ways. Think it'll come back?"

"Guys, I think we should run from that."

"Well, s'not moving. We can just walk rapidly from it, I think."

Beat.

"Probably best not t'touch it, though."

"Oh aye, 'ate to think what it'd do to us."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Yeah, we might turn into compressed files." Guppy says, tugging at Will's sleeve to get them moving.

"I'm guessing this is what those people back at the Garden were talking about when they mentioned stuff being corrupted," Atton says, starting to move.

Will starts walking though he does look confused,

"So tis some sort o'illness o'the system?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Okay, that's worse." Guppy casts a force field behind them.

"S'wouldn't be so great, no," Atton agrees.

"So all we can do is just keep movin' then?"

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy concentrates on moving, rather than talking.
