When Atton opens his eyes, he hasn't got his sword, and he's wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a billowing coat, and a whole lot of black.

Thoughtfully: "Huh."

They're in a garden of some sort, filled with statues, fountains, and plants, with a forest and a massive city in the distance. A lot of people are milling around, all in dress from a variety of different time periods.

Atton thinks about this, a moment.

"Huh."

"Nice." Guppy comments, batting at the snow, then sidestepping as a frozen bird drops down.

Ninja sense is fun.

"I think so. But I don't think it'll move with us." Beat. "I'm just guessin', here."

"Canna 'urt to try though."

Guppy's quick move gets a grin from Will though the dead bird is a bit sad.

Guppy looks down at the bird, and casts a quick Heal spell in case it's not quite dead yet. It shakes off the ice and flies off.

"I like this power, wish I could take it home."

"Is useful," Atton agrees.

"Oh aye, wish I got some spells."

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy pats Will on the shoulder.

"You can share mine if you want." he says. "Or request them at any rate. At least we're a good mix, which should cover us for various different situations."

"Also, if we find ourselves without stuff t'eat, we can roast and eat you!" Atton says brightly. "From afar."

Will thwaps Atton lightly on the arm,

"Aye, think I can manage, probably just burn meself or somethin'."

Guppy thwaps Atton lightly over the head.

"S'what the 'Recharge' spell is for I expect." he says. "Don't tempt fate, the game might be listening."

The words of warning are fairly laid back in nature, even if digitisation cannot fully prevent him from slipping into his usual behavioural patterns.

Atton just grunts, ruffling Guppy's hair.

"I wonder if there's an oasis anywhere around here."

"Think the guy at the start mentioned a map o'sorts."

Guppy tries prodding the air for a map.

A map appears, glowing blue, and mostly blank save for a village off in the distance.

Atton peers at it, then shrugs.

"May as well just head straight for the forest."

"Aye, will be water there an na as 'ot, least naught seems too far 'way. Guess folks who play this are lazy."

Guppy thinks, slightly guiltily, of the very similar game he has back home.

"They are a bit time consuming." he admits. "But I don't get much chance to truly switch off, and it's something Frogs and I do together at times. Sort of across the room."

He shrugs. "We got bored of scrabble."

Atton just snorts.

"You should be an expert on this stuff, then."

"Oh aye, 'member any tricks?"

"Not really, Frogs always beats me hand down unless we're working teams. She has some sort of special splat power."

Atton just arches an eyebrow.

Ahead, some of the sands shift a little. Atton turns towards them, watching them suspiciously.

Will stops and follows what Atton's looking at,

"Should it do that?"

Guppy says nothing, but slips into a defensive stance.

Pause.

Thoughtfully: "I don't think so."

The best thing he can do is draw his sword and hope whatever this thing is easily defeated.

"Force field." Guppy says, selecting it from his menu and casting it just in front of them.
