[OOM] Ilum, Jedi Enclave.

They have all of an hour to get up, shower, have breakfast and get ready before Atton is rushing off, yelling back at Will and Guppy about how they should start making tracks.

Five minutes later, they arrive in the hangar bay, and Atton starts looking around for their snowspeeders. He's a little miffed when he sees what they have instead.

Furry animals, about halfway between mammal and flightless bird, with reins and harnesses.

"I thought we were getting snowspeeders, not tauntauns," he protests.

The Jedi he's talking to shakes their head, sadly. "Snowspeeders are all broken."

"I can see a Jedi surrounded by people." Guppy whispers, getting that sinking feeling in his stomach.

"Oh aye, me too. What do we do?"

Atton remains still, and silent.

It actually seems like he's frozen, rather than just stoic, on this particular occasion.

Then two figures come into view. Dahari and Riv, from Transimir, and behind them, somebody else, tall and longcoat'd. It's Atton, or will be Atton - he has ten fingers instead of nine, and is dressed predominantly in black, and the sheathed sword in one hand has black wrappings instead of grey.

"Dahari, Riv. Deal with the bodyguards." Dahari and Riv wander off to the sides, melting into nothing as they go, as the people surrounding the Jedi charge at vision!Atton.

There's a series of smacking sounds as he swings his still-sheathed sword about, sending them sprawling.

Guppy clings onto Atton's sleeve, in case he starts to dive in there.

"It can't be happening, I can see you in it."

Will takes his other arm,

"Atton, look ye're 'ere, canna fight yerself."

Pause.

Flatly: "It's just the past, we just let it ..." pause, and then with the barest hint of disgust, "... play out."

The Jedi leaps, somersaulting through the air, lightsaber igniting, and vision!Atton slides out of the way, something sharp and shiny emerging from his sleeve, before he throws it. It catches the Jedi on his hand as he lands, and he drops his lightsaber.

The Jedi spits. "Sith, Black Dog, assassin, you have no idea how - ..."

He doesn't get a chance to finish. Vision!Atton draws his sword, makes one slice, wipes off the blade and sheaths it again in one smooth motion. The Jedi teeters for a moment, then falls, blood spreading out around him.

Vision!Atton pauses, then turns to look directly at Atton, Will and Guppy. Atton strains against Will and Guppy, just a little.

Guppy holds Atton tight, not just a grip, but a hug.

"I've got you bro." he says, his voice tight but the words sincere.

As does Will, "Ye're na alone, want ye 'ere, Atton."

Vision!Atton keeps staring at them.

"Captain," Dahari rasps as he comes into view again. "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing," Vision!Atton replies, lightly. "Return to the ship and contact Captain Azkul. Remind him that I will not clear up his messes a second time." Dahari nods, walking away and vanishing.

Vision!Atton stares at Atton, Will and Guppy for a few more moments, before grinning and giving them a mocking, two-fingered salute as he fades away.

Atton relaxes, slightly.

Guppy is more than a little glad that this vision has gone.

He doesn't let go of Atton just yet, just in case.

"Are you back with us?"

"Aye, Atton, wasna ye."

Flatly: "We need to move on."

Not that he's actually moving. He seems rooted in place.

Guppy offers him some water.

"Yes, we can do this."

His logic is telling him that if what he saw with Alexander is in his future, then that probably means they're going to survive. It may be flawed logic but he's sticking with it.

"Aye, ye're na that man any more. Water will be o'some aid."

Atton takes a quick sip of the water, then starts striding along.

If they're still holding onto him, he has no qualms about dragging them along.

Guppy has let go by this point. It's hard to hug someone whilst offering them water.

He follows, trying to keep up.

Will's just staying close by and following those he's quite wary at this point.

Atton doesn't look at either of them.

"Why did nobody think of installing a map here," he murmurs.

"Because we're in a big hole?" Guppy suggests.

"Oh aye an probably no one's lived 'ere for a while."

"It wasn't originally in a big hole. Also, even if nobody's lived here for a while, the people who did live here long ago might still've needed a map."

"Well if we take every left turn, we shouldn't get lost." Guppy says. "And you could follow our scent to get back out?"

"Aye, might work."

Blink.

"Why would we take every left turn? Surely that would just lead us steadily around in a circle?"

"Only if the route is a circle. If there are dead ends then you turn around and go down the next one."
