Jaq and Lucifer.

Jaq's trying to learn how to read.

He's arranged a sofafort for this purpose, and is sitting in its depths, staring at a book. He hopes that if he stares long enough eventually it'll make sense.

There may be some frustration.

"I suppose." As he pushes the milkshake over.

Jaq sips, cheerily.
"It's delicious!" He chirps, eventually.

"I know," Lucifer says, just a little bit poutily.

"Here." Jaq says. "I've had a sip, now."

The expression says that he wants more.

"What're you going to do to say thank you?" he asks, with a flirty eyebrow quirk.

"Say that I'm very grateful that you were so nice and thank you very much?" Innocently.

"Thank me?"

Lucifer is practically adjusting his halo right now.

"Thank you." Sagely, as Jaq tilts his head around a little to give Lucifer a long, slow kiss.

He kisses back, happily, hand sliding around Jaq's waist.

"Mmmm." Eventually. "Thank you."

"For taking your milkshake? No problem."

[necessary_child]

"No." Lucifer kisses Jaq's neck. "For that."

"Oh, okay." Jaq's not going to argue if it gets him kisses.

Lucifer's not exactly complaining, either. He leans against Jaq, cuddling up.

"So what was with the book, anyway?"

"Trying to learn how to read." Absently, as Jaq focuses his attention on sliding his hands down Lucifer's arms.

"You can't -" As Sam bites down on a very stupid question, leaning back against Jaq.

"How come you never learned before?"

It's an unconscious thing, but the hair-tug Lucifer gets is probably harder than it really needs to be.

"Various reasons."

Lucifer meeps at the hair-tug.

Jaq looks momentarily apologetic, playing with Lucifer's hair rather more gently.

"What was that for?" he asks plaintively. His tone isn't so much a demand as honestly curious with a side of woe.

That hurt.

"Nothing. Super strength causes problems, sometimes."

"...Okay." Lucifer frowns at him, a little, but leans back against him trustingly enough.

Eventually, "Can I help?"

"With what?" As Jaq snakes one arm around Lucifer.

"The reading."

"You wouldn't be able to read it either." Jaq replies. "Different language, y'see."

"Could try?" he offers. "Might be like one I know."
