Jaq and Lucifer.

Jaq's trying to learn how to read.

He's arranged a sofafort for this purpose, and is sitting in its depths, staring at a book. He hopes that if he stares long enough eventually it'll make sense.

There may be some frustration.

Lucifer has found his way back into Milliways again; he'd been looking for the palace kitchens, but never mind. The bar makes food that's almost as good, anyway.

Which is why, when he knocks and then pushes open the door to their room with magic (his hands are full), he has a very large chocolate milkshake and a large quantity of chips.

The book is not thrown at Lucifer, though in it's route to the wall it does pass awfully close.

"Hey, Lucifer." Jaq pokes his head out of the sofafort. "You brought chips? And milkshake? For me?"

Lucifer ducks instinctively, and almost spills some chips.

"I brought the chips for us, yes," he says, stressing the 'us'. "The milkshake's all mine, though. Didn't know for sure if you've up here."

"But." Flail. "Milkshake."

"Get your own!"

Jaq's not the only one who can occasionally be selfish.

Jaq pouts, a little, before sidling out of the sofafort to set his hands on Lucifer's shoulders, gently.
"Have I mentioned how exceptionally attractive you're looking today?" For Jaq, every tiems is massagetiems.

"Not yet." Lucifer glances up at Jaq, unsuspicious -- for the moment.

"Why?"

"I just thought that you should know. C'mon, sit down with me. Got an entire sofafort to ourselves."

It's possible that he's forgotten about the milkshake - It's hard to keep both compliments and milkshakes in his head at once.

"Okay." Lucifer slides to the floor, carefully bringing both milkshake and chips with him, and smiles at Jaq.

Jaq still won't be seeing any of the milkshake, though.

Jaq smiles back.

"One sip?"

"No!" Lucifer giggles. "'Cause then you'll want more. And more. And more."

"I won't." Jaq rests his head on Lucifer's shoulder, doing his best to look woeful. "Please?"

"Stop that." Lucifer shuts his eyes. "You're mean, Jaq. Mean."

Jaq nudges him with his forehead.
"Just one tiny sip. I just want t'taste it."

"Go get your own, then!"

But it's fairly clear he's weakening. The absent-minded kiss to Jaq's forehead may be a giveaway.

"But you're so warm and comfy."

"Pfft. 's why they made room service."

"Room service takes a long time. Just one sip? One?"

Lucifer gives him the puppydog eyes.

"But there might not be much left..."

"Then you've already had more than enough!"

"No such thing!" he protests. "It's chocolate!"

"Chocolate should be shared!"

"Butbutbut it's mine!"

Sigh.

"I suppose." As he pushes the milkshake over.
