[OOM] Sam and Atton, the lake.

Atton's training. Which means he's shirtless and barefoot in the snow, which is usually not a great idea, but is made rather worse by the fact that he's also wearing a kilt.

Despite this, he doesn't seem too bothered. He's been training for long enough that he's starting to get a bit sweaty, even with the cold.

"Hey, Sam."

Just a guess. Lucky fluke.

"Hey, Atton. Nice get-up." Cheerfully!

"The kilt was a bet."

"Who with? 'Cause if it was their idea, I may have to buy them a drink."

Sam is of the opinion that more attractive men should wander around in skirts.

"Will Scarlett. Don't remember whose idea it was."

"Well. I'll buy both of you drinks, then." He ruffles Atton's hair. "Dork. So how d'you win the bet?"

"I just have to not complain." Atton says. "Which is easy."

Sam tries not to laugh.

And fails.

Sam gets his laughter under control.

"...Well, let's just say I'd be more confident in your chances of winning if it was a who's-got-the-best-legs-for-a-kilt kind of bet."

"I think you will complain a lot." Sam nudges Atton. "In a skirt. Light knows I did."

"It's not a skirt! It's a kilt." Atton nudges back.

Sam nudges back again, harder. "Same difference, mate. Same difference."

"It is not the same. Kilts are manly."

Beat.

"Skirtboy."

"Aw." Sam pouts. "But I'm too pretty to hurt!"

"Which is a man-skirt!" Sam prods him. "And thus, still a skirt."

"It is too!" He shoves back, a little harder.

"But the real question is, are you wearing it properly?"

"I'm not telling you!" Atton protests.

Beat.

Flatly: "If I don't tell you, you'll just look, won't you. Fine - I've not got anything under it."

Sam grins. "You are wearing it properly, then. Excellent."

He pokes him. "In that case, I'll admit that it's not reeeally a skirt. Ish."

He grins. "I may whisper 'skiiiiiiiirt' at you at intervals, of course, but that's just because it's fun."
