(no subject)

So, Atton's no longer feeling disorientated. He's starting to walk better.

New problems have arisen, though. Atton has been alternating between feeling freezing and feeling like he's burning up. It started rather abruptly, and it isn't very pleasant.

Right now, he's freezing. Thus, he's wandering around his room, shirtless and barefoot but with a thick blanket draped over his shoulders, shivering.

"Haven't been sleeping." Atton admits, sheepishly, after a moment. "Not well, at least."

"Nightmares?" Guppy asks gently, taking his good hand.

"Something like that." Quickly. "It doesn't matter. Never mind."

"It does matter. But I'm not going to force you to talk about it if you don't want to. Equally, I'm here to listen if you do. I might not be able to kick ass on your behalf, but I'll help in any other way I can." Gentle squeeze of the hand. "Love you bro."

"Have others been up to see you?"

"Kira. Shalla. Wes. Will and his girlfriend came up yesterday, and Will came up again today. Bastila."

"Who's Bastila?" Guppy asks, recognising the other names.

"Another Jedi. She secretly wants to marry me." Atton says, waving a hand dismissively.

"Hasn't Gavin been up?"

"We talked when I arrived." Handwave.

"Ah, okay then."

Then, remembering something, he rummages through his pockets and brings out a wrapped bunch of grapes and a box of Quality Streets. "These are from me." he indicates the grapes. "And the sweets are from Holly. I'd have brought you a book or something but I figured it would be the wrong language."

"Thanks." Wearily, ruffling Guppy's hair.

"Do you need to sit down?" Guppy asks, realising that it may be equally difficult to move down as to get up.

"Nah. 'M fine."

"Ok then." His pager bleeps and he glares at it. "Sorry bro, I have to go back to work. Do you need anything else before I go? I'll be back later if you want me to stay with you and try to help you get some sleep."

"No, no. Have fun."

"Okay, call me if you need me. Take care."

One last gentle hug, and he heads off.
