RP with Aeryn Sun.

Atton staggered upstairs, singing something which sounded suspiciously like a drinking song, one arm around Aeryn's shoulders to keep himself standing, the other clutching a bottle of Tarisian Ale. He shouldered open the door to his room, kicking it closed and giggling, slightly insanely.
"This is my room. I apologise for the mess."

"Nobody is like that. Not even the Sith. And besides, you said yourself, somebody close to you died. Completely hard soldiers don't get close to anybody." Atton raised his eyebrows, standing up as well, the room looking slightly darker and him unnaturally tall as he does so. If Aeryn's very observant, she might feel a flicker of something, nearly stifled.

Aeryn is usually very observant, but her temper, blinds her recently.

"Well I lied." She laughed.

"You didn't think I was serious surely?"

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
That irritates Atton, and he can almost feel the walls around his mind flickering because of that irritance. A couple of pieces of furniture begin to shake, then stop as Atton quickly closes the walls again, cursing inwardly.

"Yes, I did, and I still do."

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Aeryn looked questioningly at the furniture, but put it down to her imagination.

"Well you're wrong."

She almost spat this last bit at him. She didn't want anyone getting close to that part of her life. She wouldn't have even admitted it if she'd been sober.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Does it matter? The point is you're not the you're not the hard, invulnerable person you seem to want to make yourself out to be and I wish that just for a moment you'd drop the act." Atton growled.

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well perhaps you should just keep wishing." She was yelling now.

She couldn't help it. She simply couldn't let him believe she was a good or vulnerable person. Every time she met Atton she ended up fighting with him.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well perhaps you should ... should ..." He raised his arms and made a noise of frustration. After a few moments, simply because he could think of nothing else to do, he gritted his teeth for a moment and pressed his lips against hers. Not the most effective way to win an argument, it has to be said.

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Aeryn was not in the mood for this, not now. All the reactions he had been dreading earlier took place. First she pushed him off and then twsited his arm behind his back.

"Don't frelling touch me." She hissed. She hadn't noticed, but she was shaking and slightly out of control.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"Right, perhaps the wrong way to end an argument," Atton almost yelled. "Now let me go."

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"No" She said stubbornly, keeping a tight hold on his arm.

"Not until you've calmed down." She certainly didn't need to calm down.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm perfectly calm, thankyouverymuch," Atton snarled. For a moment he considered just lashing out with the Force, before realising he'd have no idea what would happen if he did that, and would undoubtedly end up hurting either Aeryn, himself or both of them. "You're the one who's angry. Is the idea that you may just be vulnerable really that awful?"

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"Shut up!" She yelled, twisting his arm further. She didn't want to listen, didn't want to listen to him. Her grip had loosened slightly, despite the harder pressure.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm wondering Aeryn. If somebody slashes you with a knife, do you bleed? Or are you so amazingly hard and strong that it would just bounce off? Do tell, I'm interested in seeing how extensive your delusions are," Atton said calmly. "Or are you just worried that I'll do something to hurt you if you show the slightest bit of vulnerability? Think about it, Aeryn, why would I do that?"

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
She let him go, pushing him away from her slightly. She had let her emotions rule her without realising it, this was a much to common occurence when around Atton.

"I'm not frelling deluded. You are the one who seems to be."

She would not give in to him. He would hurt her, they always did.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"Aeryn, don't do this. Don't block me out. If I had wanted to do you any harm, would I have told you my secrets? Would I have confided in you?" He bit his lip, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Aeryn ... I ..." He gritted his teeth and made a low, frustrated noise.

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
She continued to look at him. A fine tremor ran through her.

"Atton, I..."

She sighed, her anger deflating somewhat. She turned to the side and put a hand to her head.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Atton reached out tentatively to touch her shoulder, prepared for the possibility that she might attack him.

"Aeryn, I ..." It appears nobody can complete sentences these days.

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
She turned slightly, the glare in her eyes not quite sincere enough to disguise her pain.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
He reached out his other hand, touching her other shoulder and giving both of them a small, comforting squeeze.
"You don't have to keep your defenses up. Not with me, anyway, and probably not with a lot of people in this bar."

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"I can't help it." She stiffened. "You don't know me. You may think you do, but you don't." She was not angry, more sad.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"And? You don't know me, either, not really," Atton shrugged. "But if you keep up this pretence, I'll never get to know you properly, and I'm not sure I could stand that."

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Why are you being so nice?" She wanted him to stop talking if only to stop the shivers down her spine.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"What can I say? When I'm not insulting everyone I meet, playing cruel tricks, getting myself into near-fatal situations, making bad jokes and torturing people I'm generally a pretty nice person." He said solemnly.

[identity profile] just-a-soldier.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
She smiled gently.

"Just promise me you'll never die saving the world?"

She didn't think she was ready to make jokes about it.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2005-07-27 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"Promise." He decided to omit the part about him having already done that (or tried to save it, at least) and just cracked a small grin instead.
