[OOM] Kazic III.

Out in the vast forests of Kazic III, the carpet of snow is rather abruptly disturbed as a flash of green light sends snowflakes flying outwards and animals fleeing.

A moment later, a green line appears in the air, and widens to admit (more like toss out with considerable force) three people. It flickers for a moment, before creaking closed again, and vanishing with a puff of greenish-white flame.

As far as worlds go, it's one of the more interesting ones to land in. The trees are evergreen and ridiculously tall, the snow is thick and heavy, and the sky has no sun to speak of, just shifting and glowing clouds in shades of gold, pink, amber and red.

"Take it easy. Need anything?" Kate went to help him up, crouched down on the opposite side from Teja.

"You might wish to drink something," Teja says.

Pause.

"This did not work; so we must follow the first plan."

"Depends how far away he is." Guppy says to Teja. "And how far the signal goes."

Looking at Teja. "There's some water and a bottle of valium in the kit bag, please. Watch out, it's deeper than it looks."

"We don't know if he ended up in the same place or world as us," Kate pointed out, and went to open up the kit bag. She stared down in it.

"How deep is this?"

"That looks like water," Teja says, "but I know not what manner of draught 'Valium' would be. Something to make him well?"

Judging from the Latin.

"It's an anti-anxiety medication." Guppy says. "It was the one thing I kept wishing I'd packed on my last trip."

Kate then fished out the water, and took a few moments to locate the hidden bottle of Valium.

"Here," She remarked as she handed both to Guppy.

Teja provided a supporting arm, as he knew next to nothing of such modern medication.

"Thanks." Guppy takes the medication.

"You're going to have to excuse me if I'm a bit dopey for a bit." he apologises in advance.

"I think we can say that Atton, if he is here, is a fair distance away."

There is someone coming, though. Not Atton - the footsteps are too light. It's Jaq, peering at them curiously.

Kate placed a subtle finger to her lips, and then turned toward the boy with a smile.

"Hey, you had a question?"

"We shall stay here tonight, as you suggested," Teja adds. "We thank you again for you help!"

Guppy, sensing what Jaq might have come for, watches him closely, interested. But, feeling suddenly embarrassed, goes a bit red and doesn't know what to say.

Guppy gets a long stare from Jaq.

Eventually: "That big metal cube thataway is where I live. There's a spare bed or two."

Kate glanced between them, before asking, "What about sleeping bags or a cot of some kind?"

"I can bear the company of bedbugs for a few nights," Teja says. "Worry not."

"Thank you." Guppy just says.

Jaq just shrugs.

"We ready to head that way then?" Kate remarked as she got up to start walking there. She glanced back to make sure Guppy was ok now.

Teja brings up the rear, to make sure Guppy does not falter, as they wend their way through the snow towards the place that serves these people as a home.

Guppy feels exhausted now, but he doesn't fall. His brain is starting to feel a bit warm and fuzzy.

Jaq moves along in front, shouldering open the door upon reaching the building to usher them all inside.
