So, Atton's no longer feeling disorientated. He's starting to walk better.

New problems have arisen, though. Atton has been alternating between feeling freezing and feeling like he's burning up. It started rather abruptly, and it isn't very pleasant.

Right now, he's freezing. Thus, he's wandering around his room, shirtless and barefoot but with a thick blanket draped over his shoulders, shivering.

"Cheating in flying is a crime against nature."

"What, so you would deprive people without wings of the chance t'fly?"

"No. But you don't cheat."

"Using a ship isn't cheating."

"How is it not?"

"Cheating is meant t'make things easier. Building a ship, keeping it in good repair, 's all a lot difficult than just taking off if you were born with the ability to fly."

"Oh, I didn't...know." She bites her bottom lip, briefly. "Although, I have to keep my wings in good condition too, or I couldn't. And taking off isn't easy - it's why I like trees and cliffs."

"Taking off isn't easy in a machine, either. Y'need a fairly large space."

"I know. Well, can imagine. Larger the wings, the bigger the space."

"Exactly." Grin!

She smiles back.

Atton is very fond of it.

"But...you said ships before. They are the same as machines?"

"Yep. Mechanical ships."

"I don't...understand."

"Oh, right. Past - Listen, when I escape from that fortress, I'll take you on a trip to my world and show you my Dart. Give you a look at how it works. It's easier explained by showing you."

"Sure. Do you need help escpaing?"

"I have a long line of people who are insisting on coming with me. I have no idea whether I need help or not - Probably depends on whether I'm repowered by the time I go back."

"I could look at them for you. It wouldn't be messy."

"But I like messy."

"Yes, so do I. But sometimes we have to make sacrifices."

Atton looks forlorn. "But I don't wanna make sacrifices."

"Just some of them? I like turning people to stone sometimes. And then other times..." She looks down at her fingers, and flexes the tendons so her claws slide out.

"It could be a multi-faceted attack. They'd never guess what was going on."
